Lone Survivor PT.3

Ok now Marcus knew there was an US air base in the area about 20 to 40 miles away and as Marcus was talking with Gulab he talked Gulab into sending someone with a note to the air base so Marcus could get rescued.Well Gulabs father took on this long trek with the note Marcus wrote,Marcus wanted to go with but Marcus was still pretty beat up and it would have been hard to take him with on such a long journey.

Marcus also tried sending out a rescue beacon from his little radio but in is well known that the Taliban also gets a hold of those little radios to lure planes in so they can shoot them down for fun, so Marcus didn't count on that working. Marcus also got to know some of the kids in the village well .One kid come in the room and taught Marcus a Muslim prayer and after Marcus learned the prayer the little kid brought all of his friends in the room and they all sang the prayer together.Well I guess the prayer meant Marcus was a Muslim now and that's why the kids were so excited, but Marcus sayed he would slip a prayer to his god every now and then.

One day Marcus was laying in his bed when a little kid come running in his room yelling "parachute parachute DR Marcus",well I guess a plane had dropped some supplies in the mountains for who I don't know.Well Marcus sent some of the kids up there were they seen the parachute drop.When the kids come back they didn't have any thing but bruises and a bloody nose,well the Taliban got to the supplies first and beat the kids while they were up there.

Marcus sayed he was surprised how fast word gets around them mountains without stuff like cellphones and radios I guess word spreads like wild fire around there.Well the Taliban found out there was an American in the village and the Taliban sent notes of threats saying stuff like "give us the American or we will kill everybody blah blah blah". The big tribe leader Ben wasn't afraid of the Taliban's threats Ben knew the Taliban couldn't survive without the support of the little pashtun tribes.You see it's kind of a weird relationship between the Taliban and the Pashtun and it would take a long time to explain.

Well Marcus is wondering at this time "where the heck! is Gulabs father, he left 2 days ago".One day Marcus was laying in his bed resting when the door was kicked open Marcus jumped out of his bed startled. To Marcus's surprise It was 3 men with turbans on there heads about 5 foot 8 in height armed with AK's and nothing but a crazy look in there eye's.You guessed it, it was the Taliban and Marcus knew this wasn't gonna be good.

Well sorry I gotta run again if you have any questions let me know=).And Like I said it's a long book and it takes me awhile to think in which order things happened in the book.So I hope you don't think I am dragging the story out.
